ABOUT BEAN & BEMBLE

As the proud owner of a first-class honours degree in Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design, Bean and Bemble brings together years of hard work and a strong desire to finally use her degree and years of design experience to create something truly fabulous.

Many of the products you seen online and in store here at Bean and Bemble, are hand-drawn by Michelle and made in the UK. Her vibrant homeware and gift collections are inspired by a love of colour, animals, nature and striking product design. Each piece blends intricate illustrations with clean, precise digital graphics to create bright, colourful and uplifting designs, applied to beautiful yet practical household products, colourful wall art and soft furnishings that bring joy and personality to any space.

Simon joined Bean and Bemble in 2025 for the opening of our physical store, bringing with him a refined eye for craftsmanship and a passion for reimagining furniture with character. With a background as a bench joiner and experience in interior design, his work is rooted in an appreciation for natural materials, considered detail, and timeless form. He combines traditional joinery techniques with a contemporary aesthetic, creating pieces that feel both elevated and enduring. Through The Rework Studio (launching soon!), Simon thoughtfully restores and reinterprets vintage and second-hand furniture — breathing new life into each piece while honouring its original story. The result is a collection of one-of-a-kind designs, rich in character and made to be lived with for years to come.

Our colourful shop and studio is based in lovely Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, where you’ll find our range of art, home accessories, decor, gifts, and a selection of bespoke furniture. We also showcase a growing, handpicked collection of products from other beautiful British brands, artists and designers. Around 90% of Bean and Bemble’s core product range is either entirely made or carefully hand-finished in the UK. We’re passionate about supporting British manufacturing, using premium materials and ethical production wherever possible.
